1 long sleeved t-shirt + 12 feather boas, some yellow tights + a lot of sewing = me as a chicken! Neil and I have a totally different couples costume in the works for tonight. Pics to come!

Yes, I spent my Saturday night playing bingo with a bunch of drag queens. But it was all for a good cause! All proceeds go to benefit the Alliance of AIDS Services in the Carolinas and just at Saturday's event they raised over $5,000. I was in total shock at how many people come out in 100 degree heat to play bingo (outdoors!). The Raleigh Little Theater is a very cool venue that hosts the event and also has a beautiful Rose Garden which is often used for weddings. Unfortuantely, someone didn't check the Drag Bingo schedule because right as the show kicked off, a whole wedding party showed up to take photos and was then harrassed for like 40 minutes by all the drag queens. Yea, the groomsmen loved that! It was all in good fun of course and I have to say I felt for these...ladies? with their huge wigs and panty hose. I was dying in just a tank top and shorts, I can't imagine how they survived.

What to do with all those plastic shopping bags you're still getting at the grocery store? A New York artist has the solution! Joshua Allen Harris has come up with some of the most creative street art I have ever seen - animals made out of shopping bags. He positions them over subway street grates and while they don't look like much just lying there, when the train goes by underneath the rush of air brings them alive. How cool are these?!?! This one is called "Air Bear"
...and reminded me of my great friend Christine. No not the 2 bit tramp part! Just the nuts part...remember the rehearsal dinner menu? Christine what was it? Like nut encrusted lobster or something? :)
